“Is a perfect society possible or even desirable?”
Well, let’s just answer this plain and simple and then go from there. I think that it is desirable and possible. Example! People have tried to make us a perfect society and it has gone wrong. People wanted peace, so governments were formed and Presidents were elected. We live in a ‘Tries to make peace’ world. Why do you think we have police? They take down the bad people so that there is peace among us. But the world can’t have perfect peace. That right was lost to us in the Garden of Eden, when Adam and Eve were kicked out. We live in an imperfect world and we can try to make peace, but there will always be war. You can make peace in your home or town but not the whole world. There will always be that person or state or country that wants something you have or they want peace to be a distant thing. Our world being perfect is desirable but if it were possible, we would be miserable. More and more rules to make sure the bad guys stay down but everyone must sacrifice for those rules. Haven’t you seen the video games and movies where they had a perfect society and it went wrong? Like if the law ‘No guns’ passed, we wouldn’t be able to defend ourselves and we would get hurt because of the people who broke that rule. Imagine robbers without guns, heaven. Police officers without guns? Heck city. So, a perfect society is possible, but I think that living might feel like dying. I’m sure that the Doctor has had his fill of war. You could ask him but he’d probably say his explanation really fast and when you’d say it doesn’t make sense he’d say,
