Welcome the Question Files Part 8! Wow! We’ve made it so far! I-I can’t believe it. It’s just so-so…beautiful! :*) Ok, ok we’re not that far, but still. Anyway, I hope I’m not boring you to death with my Files but I would like to look at a question that many people face. Especially this time of year. The human race is dealing with a lot of problems lately and that one person, who needs advice the most, pushes it away. That is what this question is about. So, let’s dive in.
“Is it true that when we most need advice we are least willing to listen to it? Or is good advice always welcome?”
Well, that’s deep. Or is it? Yes, yes it is. Let’s try to make make more sense of this dull question. Is it true that when we need advice, we push it away? Or do we take it in? Well humans are, how do I put this, humans are wibbley wobbly timey wimey… just kidding. But humans are complicated. When you need comfort you yell, when you’re sad you do a yelling/screaming gesture with water coming out of your eyes. And when you’re happy you do the exact same thing, except you smile! And don’t get me started on happy crying! Bottom line, you’re very humany-wumany. 😀 Anyway, my answer to this question would have to be yes. People push others away when they need help, because they feel weak. Some people really believe that they can help themselves when they’re in this state. Others feel like they have a reputation to uphold and don’t need help. People like that have a name in my book. “Those little Daleks!” 😀 😀 😀
