Today I will be talking about the American Constitution. When most people think of the American Constitution they think of history, foundation, our freedom! When I think of the American Constitution, I think of old men in powdered wigs, quills and paper. This week I learned that it was more than that. When they put together the Constitution, they were putting together our freedom. They were drawing the line for the Congress and the Government. They were saying “Hey! You need to get yourself’s in line! We are the people and WE can do it without you bossing us around”.
When they signed the Constitution, they were signing our freedom. THEY are the reason we can defend ourselves. THEY are the reason we can worship freely. THEY are the reason we can do whatever we want in our own homes. We owe it all to the men who signed that old, yellow, probable smells funky paper. I’m glad to have my freedom. Are you?
